Dr. Julie O’Brien MB BCh BAO, MRCPI, FFR(RCSI)
Dr. Julie O’Brien is currently a consultant radiologist in University Hospital Limerick. Graduated from University College Dublin, she underwent an Irish medical training scheme in the Mater Misericordiae University hospital and subsequent Irish radiology training in the AMNCH and Cappagh Hospitals. Julie completed three subspecialty fellowships in MRI/musculoskeletal imaging, thoracic imaging and cardiac imaging in Vancouver, Canada. She continued to work as a staff radiologist in the Royal Columbian Hospital after the completion of fellowship training.
On return to Ireland, worked as a consultant radiologist in Mater Private Hospital Dublin focusing on cardiac CT and MRI before moving to University Hospital Limerick. On March 4th, 2016, she was an invited speaker at the “Focus on Bedside Ultrasound” course which formed part of the 24th Sylvester O’Halloran Perioperative Scientific Symposium in Limerick (See image below & Programme for event included in application). A year previously (29/5/15) she had spoken at UHL Grand Rounds – the title of her presentation was “Cardiac Imaging – The heart of the matter”. Julie has 43 peer reviewed publications and a book chapter on Cardiac imaging.

Dr. Segun Olusanya
Segun Olusanya is a Clinical Fellow in North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. He completed his medical school training in the University of Southampton, gaining a Bsc in Biomedical Sciences in 2003 and a Batchelor of Medicine Degree in 2004. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. He is a member of the UK Intensive Care Society’s Trainee Committee, a digital editor for the Journal of the Intensive Care Society, an editor for Life in the Fast Lane (www.lifeinthefastlane.com), an editor for The Bottom Line (www.thebottomline.org) and a founding member of the UK group “Tea and Empathy” (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1215686978446877/) which supports doctors in distress. His interests include point-of-care ultrasound, burnout, and social media as an adjunct to medical education. Outside medicine he runs a bakery alongside his wife, and enjoys martial arts, good books, movies and video games.
